The Sea and Sea Motormarine II EX is a 35mm film camera known for its use as an underwater and all-weather camera system. It is an improved version of the original Motormarine II, released in 1995, and is highly regarded by enthusiasts for its rugged construction and versatility. The camera is fully sealed and can be used on land or underwater up to a depth of 45 meters. It features a fixed 35mm f/3.5 lens. The lens has a scale focusing system that includes a special close-up (CU) setting for focusing on subjects as near as 50cm underwater. A bayonet mount around the main lens allows for the attachment and removal of accessory wide-angle and macro lenses while submerged. The Motormarine II EX has an electrical port for attaching external strobes, such as the YS-50 or YS-60, which provide TTL (through-the-lens) flash metering for more advanced underwater photography.
This camera is powered by two AA batteries, which operate the automatic film loading, advance, and rewind, as well as the exposure metering and flash.
